Earthquake with epicentre in Trinidad felt in Canouan |
At the time of the quake Secretary General of the Caribbean Tourism
Organisation Vincent Vanterpool-Wallace was addressing a meeting at the
Hilton.
Some schools in the southern part of the country were slightly damaged,
but classes were not disrupted nor was commercial activity.
Trinidadians experienced another tremor around half past two this afternoon.
The Barbados-based Caribbean Disaster Emergency Response Agency reports
that Trinidad authorities are not requesting regional assistance at
this time.
